When does registration for Longhorn Run 2024 open?

Registration will open on Wednesday, January 22, 2025 as 9:00 am CST. 

When does the Longhorn Run take place? 

Longhorn Run 2025 will take place on Saturday, April 12, 2024.

What are the start times?

The 10K race is set to begin at 8:00AM followed by the 5K at 8:15AM. 

Please note that this year we will be doing wave starts for each race; because timing results are based on chip time, this will not affect your overall results. 

Where does the race start and end?

The race starts just west of 21st. Street and Speedway at The University of Texas at Austin. The race ends at the same location followed by a post-race celebration at the steps of the UT Tower. 

There will be plenty of signage and volunteers on race day to help point you in the right direction. 

Where can I park? 

Self-pay parking is available at UT parking garages. We recommend parking at San Antonio Parking Garage, Manor Garage ,or Trinity Garage as they will not be affected by street closures.

The 2025 H-E-B Austin Sunshine Run is a non-profit, pet-friendly event. 100% of every dollar made from registrations directly benefits the Austin Sunshine Camps. Bring family, friends, pups, and colleagues to run with us for a good cause and to celebrate afterwards with food, drinks, and music right in the the heart of Austin, at Vic Mathias Shores. The race is on Sunday, May 4, 2025 and will kick off at 7:55am. Don’t wait, register today!
